Job Description - Administrative and Research Assistant

Schedule: 30 hrs per week, Monday to Friday, No weekends

From our headquarters in downtown Toronto, we focus on developing new international markets and sustaining long-lasting careers for the artists we represent. We are involved in all aspects of an artists’ business activities including the production of international tours and recordings to event and content marketing and promotion.

UNFIT Music is looking for team players with a passion for music, appreciation for cultural diversity, a positive attitude with a strong desire to progress. Thisadministration positions is for students, recent graduates, or individuals looking to gain knowledge, insight, and work experience. This position is partially funded through Canada Summer Jobs, a government assistance program.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Research and develop contact databases
• Assist with completing grant applications and reports
• Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks
• Assist with communication with artists, managers, etc.
• Basic platform management (incl: adding dates to Bandsintown, Songkick, etc.)
• Collecting and maintaining digital assets (press, videos, audio, images)

QUALIFICATIONS


• Related work experience in arts marketing or arts business administration
• Post-Secondary Education
• Knowledge of the performing arts and music industry
• Savvy communications and research skills
• basic audio, video, and graphic editing skills would be adv. but not required
• Adequate knowledge of Word, Excel, etc. with ability to learn new skills

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS


• Able to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting goals and deadlines
• Able to flourish in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
